My car doesn't have a dashcam and there's nothing to prove my own innocence.
I knew that the taxi was equipped with a drive recorder, so I had the taxi driver contact me through an insurance company.

The taxi driver pleaded not guilty and refused to provide the video of the drive recorder, but at the request of my insurance company, he finally disclosed the video of the drive recorder.



When I checked it, it turned out that the taxi crossed the center line and collided with my car.

Normally in Japan, when each other's cars are moving, one driver is almost never 100% negligent.
This time, at the same time I overtook the taxi, the taxi driver made a mistake in the steering wheel, which proved to be a very difficult situation for me to avoid.
The taxi driver was told 100% negligence and the problem was resolved.

I didn't think I would encounter an accident so far, and I didn't have a drive recorder installed, but I learned that it could be a one-sided victim like this accident, and the drive recorder Realized that it was very important.

Right now, my car is under repair and I am leaving it at an automobile repair shop, but after the repair is completed, I will install the drive recorder immediately.
