Lexus RZ450e Special Edition F Sport Performance Makes Its Debut

Lexus has introduced the special edition "F SPORT Performance" of its battery-electric vehicle (BEV) "RZ450e," offering it for sale through a lottery system limited to 100 units.

The RZ450e "F SPORT Performance" is based on the concept model "RZ SPORT CONCEPT" showcased at the "Tokyo Auto Salon 2023" held in January 2023. Leveraging the tuning design crafted by racing driver Masahiro Sasaki, and aerodynamic development led by air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya (LEXUS PATHFINDER AIR RACING).

The RZ450e "F SPORT Performance" adopts 17 exclusive aerodynamic parts, such as the double carbon wing and carbon turning vane, inspired by aerospace technology, enhancing downforce and significantly altering the exterior impression. The body dimensions have been enlarged to 4,860mm (+55mm) in length, 1,965mm (+70mm) in width, and 1,625mm (-10mm) in height, presenting a wide and low-profile SUV appearance. Additionally, it features 21-inch aluminum wheels, and coil springs and shock absorbers have undergone specialized tuning to deliver uncompromising driving performance after extensive testing on the test track.

In terms of exterior features, it comes equipped with special edition auto-folding door mirrors in black with blue accents. The special edition body color, "HAKUGIN" (platinum), inspired by the serene world of silver where light and shadow intertwine, is contrasted with black and highlighted with blue accents. The "HAKUGIN" color adopted for the RZ450e "F SPORT Performance" aims to achieve a new matte white texture with a fine particle feel, while the incorporation of blue accent colors reminiscent of BEV cleanliness adds a touch of elegance and sportiness.

Inside the RZ450e "F SPORT Performance," a new black and blue exclusive interior color scheme has been introduced, along with ultr suede seats featuring blue stitching. The steering wheel is adorned with synthetic leather in black with blue stitching, accompanied by the "F SPORT Performance" emblem. A dial-shift with black and blue accents is featured for the transmission, complemented by a blue-accented instrument panel. Furthermore, aluminum sports pedals and footrests are included.
