Lexus NX Receives Partial Upgrades

Lexus has introduced partial upgrades to the "NX" lineup, along with adding the "OVERTRAIL" variant, which went on sale nationwide through Lexus dealerships on February 29.

In this round of upgrades to the NX, additional bracing to reduce rear body deformation has been added, further enhancing body rigidity and tuning the suspension. Moreover, improvements have been made to driving control and front-to-rear torque distribution, refining driving feel and quietness.

Inside the NX, two additional USB Type-C charging ports have been added to the center box of the instrument panel, and illumination has been added to the rear outside handles. Additionally, the display has been upgraded from a 9.8-inch display audio to a 14-inch Display Audio Plus. Furthermore, the Qi wireless charging function has been enhanced, expanding the charging detection range and increasing compatibility with charging-enabled devices. As a theft prevention measure, VIN numbers have been added beneath the front windshield on the passenger side. Safety features for the NX350 F Sport now include Advanced Park and Parking Support Brake (Surrounding Static Objects).

Regarding the exterior, the NX now features a change from automatic high-beam LED headlights to a three-eye full LED headlamp with Adaptive High Beam System. Furthermore, the previously dealer-optioned colored fender arch moldings are now standard equipment.

The newly added "OVERTRAIL" is available in all grades except for the NX250. It features interior and exterior designs that express an outdoor lifestyle image, along with specially tuned suspension. The exterior of the OVERTRAIL model coordinates black items such as the front grille, window frames, door handles, outer mirrors, and roof rails, giving it a more refined appearance. Additionally, it comes with 18-inch all-terrain tires suitable for off-road driving and a 15mm higher ground clearance compared to standard models, enhancing its off-road capability. Body colors include a new color called Moon Desert, among a total of seven available colors, while the interior offers the "Monolith" color coordination exclusively for the OVERTRAIL variant.

Moreover, the driving program includes "Trail" mode and linkage with the "AVS" variable damper exclusive to OVERTRAIL, enhancing stability and comfort during off-road driving.
